NOTD - OPI Elephantastic Pink

Today, I was feeling super girly so I went with OPI's Elephantastic Pink for my nail color! And since it's the Christmas season, I decided to top it off with Covergirl's Disco Dazzle, because the sparkles reminded me of snow (hence, Christmas)

Elephantastic Pink is from OPI's India Collection in 2008. It is a wonderful pink color that is really hard to describe. The color in the picture shows more of a coral pink but in real life, it is actually lighter, more salmon-y pink. The formula was a bit too watery but application was great as with most OPIs. CG's Disco Dazzle is amazing and for such a cheap price too! It adds a wonderful dazzle to the nails, so to speak :)

So, what color are YOUR nails today?

Delayed NOTD - Zoya Roxy

Hi everyone!

Last weekend, while I was studying for my Accounting exam, I decided to take a break and paint my nails. It was hard choosing a color since I bought so much nail polish over the past few weeks! In the end, I decided to go with Zoya Roxy.

I've never been a fan of glitter nail polish - until Zoya Roxy. It is bright purple glitters suspended in red-purple jelly base. The color is definitely like no other. One thing I did not like about this is the fact that it was very hard to apply evenly! The base was a bit sheer so I had to apply 3-4 coats just to make it opaque and come out evenly. Like all other glitter nail polish, it was very hard to take off so make sure to use a base coat. On the bright side, I got tons of compliments while I was wearing this. I could not take my eyes of my nails for one second, which was not a good thing since I was studying for an exam! If you're a fan of glitters, Zoya Roxy is certainly a must have!

Eyeko Part 2

I did swatches for the rest of nail polishes I bought from Eyeko and here they are, as promised! Enjoy!

First up is Rain polish.
When I first saw this nail polish color, I fell in love and knew I had to buy it. The color is very unique - blue grey with a subtle shimmer. It will definitely be a hit no matter what the season or nail polish trend is. However in terms of application, this is probably my least favorite. It was very streaky and applied too thick. This was 3 coats.

Next is Saucy polish.
I never knew I could love a red nail polish this much! It's a bright, coral-y red and the best thing of all is it applied really well. This was 2 coats, but 1 coat is all you need to achieve complete opacity. It was not too thick and applied really evenly.

Next is Vampira polish.

This is also a very unique color - black with red glitters. I am neither a big fan of black nor glitters but I have to say that I love the subtlety of this one. It looks like plain black nail polish from afar but when you look up close, you will see the red glitters. Like Saucy, application is great. You will need 2 coats for complete opacity.

Last but not the least, Chi Chi polish.
I got this for free as Eyeko's offer of the week since I bought over $20 worth of products. Chi Chi polish is pink glitters suspended in light pink polish. I will probably wear this as a shimmery top coat for my other nail polish, but I probably won't wear it alone. You can definitely do so though, the color is very buildable. Nothing bad about the application.

I placed another order with Eyeko again and will do a review + swatch once my order arrives! In any case you want to buy these nail polishes (or any other stuff) from Eyeko, please enter my ambassador code E12831 at checkout and you will receive a free gift!

Have a wonderful evening everyone!

Eyeko Part 1

Hey everyone!

So yesterday I got my Eyeko package. I heard a lot of great reviews on Eyeko's nail polishes, so I decided to try it out for myself. I placed my order last Saturday, and it arrived Thursday yesterday! Lightning fast shipping, right?

These are the nail polishes that I ordered:
L-R: Rain polish, Saucy polish, Chi Chi polish, Vampira polish, Military polish

First of all, I love love love the packaging. Each nail polish has its own designed label, which is really a nice change from the usual packaging we see from other brands. The price is not bad at all. For $5.50, you get 8.5 mL of nail polish, which for me is more than you will ever need. Since I was $30 shy of free shipping, I had to pay an extra $7.50 - but it was worth it because my order arrived in less than a week!

Today, I am wearing Military polish. Here is my swatch pic:

Ever since Chanel came out with the Les Khaki de Chanel collection, I have been on the hunt for a military green nail polish. Good thing Eyeko's Military polish came along, it is the perfect military green colour. The application was great, it only needs 2 coats to be completely opaque, but I applied 3 for an even application.

More swatches of the other Eyeko nail polishes to come! Stay tuned!
